Lenape’s Annual Coffeehouse

On Thursday December 3rd the Laureate and Smoke Signal jointly hosted the annual Lenape coffeehouse. The event took place in the Media Center and went from 7:00pm to 9:00pm. Students were invited and encouraged to share any poetry they had written or poetry by some of their friends or favorite authors. “The coffeehouse is really different. It’s a time for students to share what they have written,” adds Natalia Starocelsky (’18).

The Laureate provided its winter addition for anyone who wanted to read some poetry, look at artwork, or even find their own submissions. “After reading some of the poems I felt much closer to the other students. We were able to strengthen our Lenape family bond,” remarks Joe Ward (’16). Food, drinks and even coffee from Starbucks were the refreshments for the evening. “Unfortunately it was a small turn out, but it was still a fun experience,” says Amanda Wichelman (’18). This is an annual event, so if you weren’t able to make it this year, consider attending in the future. Admission is only $5 and food and drink is free!
