Hola! My name is Claudia Michelle Engelhardt; I'm sophomore here at Lenape High School and a new member of the Smoke Signal! Born and raised in Long Island, I grew to love fishing, beaches, and sunsets! I'm a very passionate music lover. I have a wide variety in my taste of music--indie rock, classic rock, and alternative are my main genres but Hendrix, Frank Sinatra, Coldplay, and The Arctic Monkeys (just to name a few) are some of my favorite musicians. I'm a huge animal lover, Broadway buff, Yankees fan, & Walking Dead Fanatic! Old classic Black & White movies are my favorite, as well as horror and comedy movies. Alfred Hitchcock's "A Rear Window" is a classic and is one of my favorite movies. I would love to travel more than anything in the world and when I'm older I would love and go to collage outside the U.S, majoring in photojournalism or psychology.  Writing and Photography has always been an escape of mine over the years and has become something that I enjoy doing very much. Besides the newspaper, I'm involved in Concert Choir, Yearbook Club, Community Service, Renaissance, LTV, and the Musical's/Play's here at Lenape High School.
