David Kim, Editor-in-Chief
David Kim. You'll be hard-pressed to find a more common name for a Korean guy - but that's never stopped me from shattering the shroud of normalcy surrounding my name. If you've perused the site, you probably know that I'm the paper's Editor-in-Chief. A less obvious, more surprising fact about me is that I entered journalism with weak writing skills. To put it quite simply, I wasn't always the best writer in class - having stronger interest in topics such as math and science, my writing abilities declined in their wake. In my freshman year, however, I discovered that writing well was imperative for success in whatever I chose to pursue, so I elected to join the newspaper to improve my writing capabilities. It didn't take long for me to realize that I enjoyed the challenges that came with newspaper production. Fast forward a few years, and now I get to oversee all facets of the newspaper, from widget colors to article photos! I hope you enjoy what Smoke Signal has to offer.
