The fourth annual Kevin Todd 5k & AIDS Walk Lenape was held at the Lenape High School track and fields on May 10th, 2014! People from all over the South Jersey community came out to the event to help support Spirit of the Holidays, an organization that helps local families impacted by HIV & AIDS. The organization also commemorates the life of Kevin Todd, a Lenape alumnus that passed away from complications with HIV/AIDS in 1997.

This year’s event kicked off with the 5k race and walk! The first and second place winners of the 5K race were Health/PE Teacher, Mr. Weiman and Track Coach, Mr. Tyson, respectively. Throughout the morning there were also games, face painting, music from student DJ Swoon, food, and even a “Human Pac-Man” event, where teachers were soaked with water! It was amazing to see Lenape volunteers come together to make this event a success. Year after year, the walk has grown and as a result, Spirit of the Holidays has been able to help more families. Congrats to the Lenape community on raising awareness for a great cause and helping impoverished families impacted by HIV/AIDS!
