2018 MLB World Series

The 2018 World Series has come to a close and the Boston Red Sox have won. The Red Sox defeated the Los Angeles Dodgers in five games. As well as finishing the regular season with a record 108-54. The series started with three straight wins by the Red Sox. However, game four was close and the Dodgers kept their hopes alive winning 3-2. The Dodgers tried to get another win but it was a failure losing 9-6 in the final game. A memorable moment was when starter Chris Sale came in to close out the final inning for the Red Sox. Sale ended up striking out Dodgers all-star shortstop Manny Machado out for the win. Steve Pearce would win World Series MVP for the Red Sox.

The Red Sox would go onto host a parade in their home city of Boston. Fans of the Red Sox cheered as they cruised down the street hoisting the Commissioner’s Trophy. The Red Sox now look to repeat this performance in the 2019 season.
