NHS Induction
On December 20, 2018, the Three Fires Chapter of the National Honor Society at Lenape High School inducted its newest wave of members. Senior NHS member Amber Murray opened up the night by singing the National Anthem and later there was a special musical performance from former NHS member from the Class of 2015, Casey Shields. In addition, former NHS member and officer from the Lenape Class of 2014, Colleen Scott returned to speak to the inductees and family members encouraging them to do good in the world. Superintendent Dr. Carol Birnbohm, Principal Mr. Cattani, and National Honor Society Adviser Mrs. Stansbury also gave their remarks encouraging the new members. Current National Honor Society officers spoke about the 4 pillars of character: Scholarship, Leadership, Service, and Character. After reciting the pledge, the inductees, including many students from the Class of 2020 as well as some students from the Class of 2019, became full National Honor Society members. We hope to see a lot of good things from this new group of National Honor Society members.
