NASA Lands Spacecraft “InSight” On Mars

It was November the 26th when NASA landed their spacecraft “Insight” onto Mars. This marked a major accomplishment, after 6 minutes with the craft about 80 miles from the surface it landed. Multiple new technological advancements helped them achieve this goal. A new heat shield was added because the red planet often has bad sand storms. Which originally just served as protection of the machinery in reentry. As well as adjustments to the parachute of the craft like more robust material.  In all they had a series of changes that were different from their previous “Phoenix Mars Lander”. This accomplishment should set the standard for space exploration by NASA in the future.
