The Toronto Raptors have won the 2019 NBA Finals. Finals MVP Kawhi Leonard carried the Raptors to their first ever Finals win. His strong offense and defensive capability helped overcome the Golden State Warrior’s Dynasty. The Warriors were the clear front runner having been to the finals many times in years past. However all star small forward for the Warriors, Kevin Durant was not present for most of the series. Nursing an injured Achilles, he was cleared for game five in Toronto, where he was needed to keep the Warriors chances alive. However during the game he ruptured his Achilles and left the game; he is expected to miss all of next season where he will play for the Brooklyn Nets. Later on in game 6 the Raptors would win 114-110 winning the series 4-2.
