November 25, 2019 was the finale of another exciting season of Dancing With the Stars. Dancing with the Stars has been around for 28 seasons and it is still growing and getting better. Just this season, vast changes have been made to the rules to help better dancers remain in the competition. The three judges now have the opportunity to save a couple from elimination if they fall in the bottom two after combined viewers’ and judges’ votes.

After 10 weeks of dancing, the four couples that made it to the finale were actor/comedian Kel Mitchell and his partner Witney Carson, country artist Lauren Alaina and her partner Gleb Savchenko, pop singer Ally Brooke and and her partner Sasha Farber, and the most recent “Bachlorette” Hannah Brown and her partner Alan Bersten.

Each couple performed a “redemption” dance where they had the opportunity to perform a dance from earlier in the season in order to earn a higher score on it. Next was the much awaited freestyle dance where each couple had the opportunity to showcase their unique strengths in a dance with no rules.

Everyone performed extremely well, but only one couple could take home the much envied, mirror ball trophy. Taking home 4th place was Lauren and Gleb, taking 3rd was Ally and Sasha, and 2nd was given to Kel and Witney. The Season 28 champions of Dancing with the Stars were Hannah Brown and Alan Bersten!
